    How to Win Blackjack

A winning blackjack hand is the one that totals closest to 21, and it cannot exceed that number.

If you draw are an Ace paired with a 10 or picture card in your first two dealt, you have won blackjack and win 150% of your original bet, plus your hand is unbeatable.

Number cards are worth their face value, while picture cards count as 10, excluding the Ace can which scores one or 11, depending on which score helps your hand more.

    Features

There are a number of different features in this Vegas classic, listed below.

Splitting - you can split your cards if you are dealt two of an identical value, though you then you have to place the same wager on both hands and then play each card as if it were a normal hand.

Doubling Down - after two cards are dealt, you can double your original bet, but you can only draw one more card after doing this.

You will be paid out for your original wager and your extra double bet if you win a hand after doubling down.

If the dealer draws blackjack after you have split or doubled, you lose your total bet.

Insurance - you can purchase insurance to protect your hand if the dealer’s first card is an Ace, and the price of this is half of your original wager.

Your insurance will pay out at 2/1 if the dealer then gets blackjack, though you lose your initial wager.

If the dealer does not have blackjack, your insurance bet loses and the hand will continue as normal.

Surrender - the surrender option allows you to walk away from your hand after it has been dealt; this will cost you half of your original wager.

    Four Decks

Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with four decks of cards, and in comparison with an eight-deck game this boosts your chances of winning by 0.6%.

    Stand on All 17

The dealer must stand on all 17’s in Vegas Strip Blackjack, which slightly improves your chances of winning.
